Hello! I know it's been a while. I've just been so so busy! We had a two week internship at a kindergarten. It was so fun but super exhausting. We were all assigned a class to spend the day with. I got K4 which are 4 and 5 year olds. Here's how it would work. First we would teach English in the morning and then we would go to our classes and spend the day with them. Then after we would have an hour break. Last we would teach English to older kids about 8-10 years old. It was really fun but playing with kids all day is soooo exhausting. It was a great learning experience though!

On the last day the kids were so sweet. They all lined up and told me what they liked about my time at the school. And they all just lined up and said they liked me. And then they sang me a farewell song and it was adorable. I also received an adorable drawing from on of the little boys. This made me really happy because he is one of the most troublesome students. He is always misbehaving, but he was also one of my favorites. I felt especially good because I was the only teacher he gave it to.

After the internship we were taught how to teach classes where students are allowed to speak Japanese in class. These students were between the ages of 3-12. Those classes were the easiest and there was a lot more freedom. But I still prefer teaching GrapeSeed classes.

Training is almost done. We have a couple more classes and then that's it! So hopefully I'll get placed soon and can move to my new school : )

All my love,

Shanti
