Just a few little things

So I found an adorable French (I assume it's French) cake shop. The shop is about a 5 minute walk from me. Above is a photo of the cake I bought. It looks like a Christmas tree doesn't it?! I've been wanting to go in, but I was sick and didn't want to eat any sugar till I was fully recovered. The piece I bought is pretty good. It has a very rich chocolate flavor. My mom makes this cloud cake and she gave the recipe to our friend Amy and this taste like that. And the whipped cream is extremely sweet. I can only eat a few bites it's so rich.
So besides that, the new grocery store up the street FINALLY opened. But I can't shop there :/ Simply because it is so popular there is actually a constant line of cars waiting to park. There are two security guards and they control the parking. When a car leaves they will let in another car. It's not like in the States where you just drive around until you find a spot. You have to wait in line and wait for the guard to tell you it's your turn.
Then when I went into the store they were out of carts!! I've never been to a store where it was so busy they had no carts left!!! I decided to just use one of those handheld baskets. But it was so crowded and crazy that I ended up just leaving and going to the store that is 20 minutes from me. I'd rather go a little farther than deal with that crowd!
I also started getting Christmas decorations. I'm trying to make it as festive as possible because I'm going to be alone for Christmas and I'm rather upset about that. The roommate that I get along with plans to go to Tokyo for Christmas and New year. SO I'll be really alone. Which is really hard because it's my first Christmas without my family. I plan to try and make the same foods my mom makes, but I don't have an oven. Plus a lot of food isn't available to me. I'm going to try to find ravioli at an international store, but we will see. Ill make mashed potatoes and maybe a pot roast if I can. And I'm going to try and get a small Christmas tree so at least I get that Christmasy smell. But still I'm really not looking forward to it.
Anyway that's my weekend so far. Tomorrow I'm just gunna go to the dollar store and study for my demo lessons this week.
Lots of Love,
Shanti
P.S. Here's some more photos of Mount Fuji this time with more snow.
