It's been crazy!

Sorry I haven't updated in a bit! I had a very bad stomach flu and then I had to do a ton of work to catch up on what I missed during the training. I wasn't allowed at training until I was cleared of 24 hours without throwing up. But I'm okay now! I got an IV and a bunch of medicine and now I'm right as reign!
So we started observing classes at the kindergartens. Its extremely helpful. We do these demo lessons each week and seeing the teachers at the kindergartens has really improved how I teach my lessons. The teachers have given me some great ideas. I actually really enjoy the training. The kids are so cute and they genuinely love learning English. The program we use to teach them makes the class super fun and the materials are super cute.
Surprisingly, I'm the only one who isn't nervous or stressed out by the demo lessons we do. I really enjoy them and we do them in front of just us teachers so it's not really a big deal. And I really like the materials we use so I find it quite fun.
The only downside of training is the long days. We leave around 8:10am every morning and we observe two lessons. We get home around 11am 11:30am for lunch then we have demo lessons from 12:30 to 2:30 then from 2:45 to 5pm or 6pm we observe more lessons. It's long but at least its not hard work. We just watch the lessons and we only have to do actual work when we teach our demo lessons. The days go very fast because we are always so busy.
I am learning a lot and I enjoy the training. I can't wait to actually start training at my own school in January! Well that's all for now. We plan to go to Fujinomiya on Tuesday because Tuesday and Wednesday are holidays. I'll post on that trip during the week. For now here's two photos of Mount Fuji which we can see right from where we live!
Lots of love,
Shanti
